More people go on holiday thanks to Chess

Four Chess people have broadened their travelling horizons by embarking on ‘all expenses paid’ holidays courtesy of Chess.

Joel Mahoney from Sales, Howard Simpson from Chess’ Smartflush department and Emma Bertouche from Marketing won separate holidays as a reward for their hard work. Richard Peck from the Technology department got doubly as lucky; not only did he receive a  recruitment bonus for introducing his friend Emma to the company back in 2008, but he benefited from a holiday ‘freebie’ as her travelling companion.

It’s not the first time Howard Simpson has done a spot of globe trotting at Chess’ expense; he won a holiday to New York back in 2007 for two. “I feel extremely lucky to have been chosen twice for a holiday. It was nice this time around to be able to take the children to Disneyland Paris. I have been at Chess for nearly 16 years and it’s great to feel appreciated.”
Emma Bertouche and Richard Peck returned from the 4 night stay in Venice at the end of September. “I didn’t think I’d ever be able to afford a mini break to Venice as I’d heard it is very expensive, so I couldn’t believe my luck when I won the holiday. I have been friends with Richard since we were three years old and since he introduced me to the company I thought it was only fair I took him along with me!”

Joel Mahoney will be embarking on his travels this November to Safari in South Africa. During his holiday, it is Joel’s ambition to have his picture taken with a lion whilst holding a Chess Blueprint for Success. Now that’s commitment!
