2008 Deloitte Technology Fast 50
Chess Telecom is ranked 37th fastest growing technology company in the UK & Ireland in the 2008 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, which was published on 23rd October 2008. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years. Chess grew 723 percent in this period.
The list is compiled from Deloitte’s nominations submitted directly to the Fast 50, and public company database research. To qualify for the Fast 50, entrants must have had 2003 operating revenues of at least 50,000 Euros. Deloitte researchers examined financial statements to validate operating revenues.
This is Chess Telecom's third year in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. Chief Executive, David Pollock credited the business' ongoing commitment to its innovative growth strategy that combines organic growth with acquisition for its inclusion in the list again this year.
People development also plays a crucial role in Chess Telecom's growth and it was awarded a National Training Award earlier this month for its focus on this.
"Chess people are our business' best asset," said David.
"We have invested over half a million pounds in the last 2 years in training and development as I see the growth and success of our Chess people as underpinning the growth and success of the business. As a result everyone is focused on peak performance and exceeding customer expectations, which in turn, enables us to minimise customer churn. Acquisitions have also played a particularly large part in Chess' growth and we have made 30 so far and our success at completing and integrating these means we always have something on the horizon."
