Web Developer
Chess Limited, a Telecommunications Company based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire are looking for a Web Developer to work in their head office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing organisation in a fast moving industry. The role will be suitable for a graduate in Computer Science or a candidate from a numerate discipline wishing to gain entry into the web development field.
The successful applicant will work from our offices in Alderley Edge as part of the Business Development Team.
Hours: Full time 37½ per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.30 pm.
Holiday Allowance : 4 weeks paid holiday p.a. plus Bank Holidays increasing upon anniversaries.
Remuneration: £20,000 - £25,000 p.a. plus KPI and Company Bonus dependent upon experience, reviewed annually in May.
Benefits include participation in the Company Pension at the end of your probationary period.
Your duties would include but not be limited to:
· N-Tier ASP.Net application development.
· MS SQL Server programming
· Full development life-cycle, from requirements analysis through to development, testing, deployment and maintenance
· OO Analysis and system design
· Ad-hoc database reports
· Data management and manipulation
· Bug-fixing
Key skills
- Familiarity of ASP.Net would be an advantage but any Web Development understanding is acceptable
- Knowledge of SQL, any discipline but the ability to use Microsoft SQL Server is beneficial
- Experience of Visual Studio would be useful although not essential
- Data manipulation skills
- Ability to analyse problems, deliver results and work well as part of a team.
